LAMIA Biography

Described by NOTION as “a rising star”, LAMIA is a music/visual artist, music producer, and artist researcher. A Music Masters graduate of the world-renowned music department of Goldsmiths, University of London, where she was a top student supported by two scholarships, she also studied music at Leeds Conservatoire and The BRIT School of Performing Arts. She now studies a second Master’s in film in Berlin.

LAMIA has performed at iconic venues like Berghain Kantine, BBC Introducing Live Sessions, The Berlin Music Video Awards, and presented artist research at the prestigious CTM Festival. A fast-growing name in the underground electronic scenes of London and Berlin, LAMIA has been premiered by KALTBLUT, BBC Radio 1’s Jaguar, Radio X, CULTR, Goldsmiths NX Records, and CLASH Magazine.

LAMIA has a rare form of synesthesia where music and sounds induce mental imagery, dreamscapes and pictures. Inspired by her imaginary visual worlds, she writes, records and produces music influenced by industrial sounds, alchemising her haunting vocals with lush cinematic soundscapes. Developing her audio-visual worlds to critical acclaim, her music video screenings include The Berlin Music Video Awards, Berlin Indie Film Festival and many others. DMY Magazine notes, "LAMIA continues to redefine what electronic music can be: visceral, intellectual, and transcendent."
